ABOUT THE BOOK
I never planned on writing a book like this. With a degree in History and Communications, I always assumed I would write a book that focused on historical context and research, but God had other plans for me. While it may sound bizarre, God kept me up for three nights before I finally agreed to write this book. It might sound like I was fighting His plan for me, but that wasn’t the case. I loved the idea of writing, but never thought of myself as someone with the knowledge and skill set to write on such a thought-provoking and life-changing topic.
The first night God put the idea in my head, I thought “Yeah okay that would be cool, but I’m no writer”. The next night, He gave me the full title and I thought it sounded like a nice idea for someone someday. By the third night though, God gave me the entire outline of the book and even the title for each chapter. It was about 1:00 in the morning, but I still grabbed my phone and wrote down all the details God had given to me. At this point, I knew I was being called into something I had never dreamed of and decided to let my faith be bigger than my fear.
But God, right?! His belief in our abilities far outweighs our own beliefs and can give us confidence that we have never experienced before. When we lay down ourselves and wholly rely on God, our lives are forever changed. This book is the outcome of that reliance.
